Re: NEGATIVE FEEDBACK LIST

sparkworld has failed to send a paypal payment for a glovebox light switch (twice)
The 1st time might be put down to a mistake, but 2nd is a bit fishy.

a trivial £3 for a 2nd hand unit, or £21.29 from the dealer.

might be something wrong with his paypal account ?

Re: The DVLA clamped my E30

Got the letter from DVLA saying that my car was being used/kept on a public road on the day the car was clamped. Replied saying that the car is SORN and parked on private land. Land registry shows this area as private. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v210/Smithy318i/120d/DSCF5427.jpg This isn't th...

It is an offence to cut the clamp off or damage it in any way.

Although, because it is attached to a front wheel, I could dissasemble the suspension joint and the clamp would come off easilly. But is it legal ???

Re: The DVLA clamped my E30

It's a bit complicated. It is communal parking. Acording to the land registry, the area which I have parked the car is private land. However the DVLA have apparently been using a modified copy of the map to include the area my car is parked on as public highway. The police have said its private land...

The DVLA clamped my E30

Since the E30 failed its MOT test in July 2008 the car has been SORN. I havn't driven the E30 for over 2 years and have parked it on private property. The DVLA came round on the 6th of August and clamped it for no tax. Usually they collect clamped cars after a couple of days, but mine (plus another ...

Re: dash lights dont

looks like the dimmer rheostat has fried on your headlight switch.

To test this, remove the rear ashtray bulb, then ground the negative terminal to the body.

if the lights work, you will need a new headlight switch. (which i have for sale BTW ;)

Access the motor from the engine compartment.

An access hatch is on the firewall directly behind the engine.

The pins on the E30 are opposite.

It refers to the position of the pins on the side of the bulb
offset bulbs have pins in a different position.

Norwich Union had the nerve to phone back and ask of the service was good and the quote was reasonable.
