central lockin' problem

Hi peeps i have a prob with my central locking when i press my remote to unlock nothing happens i have done the obvious and changed the battery but still no joy when it started playing up nothing would even open off the key although that not the case anymore the key working but the remote still not any ideas anybody

Do a search for 'central locking' and loads should come up. I've had similar problems as have many others, mine's turned into a nightmare....but there is good advice on other threads.
