If I change my small case diff for a large case, do I need the correct prop to go with the new diff?
I'm assuming that a large diff will have the pinion flange nearer the front of the car, in relation to the output shafts.
Also, is the centre bearing pressed on to the prop? ie Is replacing the centre bearing a DIY job?

The centre joint can be loosened and the two spined pieces just slide together to shorten it. When you do this make sure you mark it because if pull it apart by accident and put it back together in the wrong place it will be out of balance and cause vibration problems and eventualy ruin the centre bearing.
Changing the bearing can be done with a bit of gentle persuasion but you have to be careful not to strike the outer casing.
