Does anybody know whether it's possible to use a standard release arm and bearing with a multiplate clutch?

I'm slowly gathering all the bits for the transmisson I need, got the gearbox, flywheel and clutch so the release mechanism is the next thing.

Have a feeling you're supposed to use a concentric release but thought I'd double check!

Cheers!

If your release fingers are flat you'll need a radiassed release bearing, if you use a flat bearing on flat fingers it will soon wear a grooove in the fingers, with some bmw oe bearing you can seperate the contact part from the bearing and carrier, with your machining skills I'm sure it'll be no probs to machine up a new radiussed part, tilton web site have a down load section for release bearings
