Autotrader have stopped doing it?! That was the only site that did a free one that I knew of that would tell you the basics like:

Number of previous owners
Make
Model
Engine Size

Anyone know of any others?? if you do please could you attach the link cheers.

Tried them and they charge, I do it so often because I'm always looking at cars so a free one to tell me the basics is good enough for me (if there is one that is!) google didnt help out much either..
