Just a quickie really, what hanger and rubber mounts do you use?

Im sure I had the standard E30 gearbox hanger bit and normal mounts on my coupe and that worked fine.

Just went to bolt it up to the 4 door beast and the gear selector rods touch the prop donut, so im guessing i should be using flatter rubber mounts to drop it down a little bit?

Can't remember what i used last time.

Thanks

E30 unit with M40 mounts is what I used last with the M50 type ZF box dude.

no issues with the selector rod assy, although the 2.8 Z3 lever would be a little close for comfort I rekon .

if in doubt give the rod a "swerve" to ease it up and over the obstruction

I thought it was.

I've just moved the whole lot over from a coupe to a saloon and now the selectors rubbing the donut.

Crazy car. lol

325e/324td prop-shaft fits perfectly. it was done zillion times in my country.
Also with some small modifications e36 328 or similar shaft fits OK too.

I sorted it in the end I was having a special moment. It was the last job of the day and was too tired to think properly lol.

Plus my mate was been a special one in the car, as I told him to put it in neutral so I could attach the rod but instead he had it in 3rd so the throw was 180 degrees out, so when i turned it round and put the rod back on all was well and theres loads of clearance now. I don't know if he though i had a sequential box or something cause it only went back and forward the first time lol.
