Upgrading M43 engine

I currently have M43 engine (1600 cc) from E36 compact in my E30. The car seems to be under power. One alternative is to swap to other engines with more HP but I want to stick with the same engine and upgrade to 1800 cc. What components do I need to change? Or can someone refer me to the webpages that have information on the different between M43 1600 cc vs 1800 cc?

M43tu from E46 would be 1900cc and offers more TQ and HP, TBH though, its not gonna set the world on fire.....
Swop in an M42 or similar dude, same work, similar outlay, way more poke and still retains the 1800cc insurance busting capacity.
