i have just bought my brother in laws 325is and am wondering when the timing belt needs to be done. i think it was last done around 90,000 miles and im up on 150,000 now. Any help would be greatly appreciated

It should be done aproximately every 40, 50k miles. If it was last changed at 90k and your car has 150k on the clock now, then your well due a change.

It should be changed every second Inspection II, or 4 years.

Change that belt now!! IMO,30,000 miles or three years.Belts cost about £10,re-built heads from £300...
