Gearbox!!

hi i have a 1987 325i sport, im changeing it to a e34 525i m50 engine, will this bolt on to my gearbox, if so what flywheel & clutch do i use. thanks

Yes it will, but you will have to twist the linkage slightly (the e34 box has got the same bolt pattern, but runs at something like 15° more.
Both flywheel fit, but I'd keep your current one as it is muich lighter. In this case, you also need to keep the e30 starter motor.

I know the M20 flywheel bolts up ok, but doesnt it need some machining to fit the M50?

It seems to depend. I know ofM20 flywheel that fitted straight away. And if they dont, you can grind a little bit off the bloc casting / bolts that are in the way - No problem at all and easier than machining a flywheel (no need for balancing)

my e34 engine is a auto that wont make any differance, also looking & buying a Exhaust system & coilover what the best to get as im worryied about it restricting the m50 as e30 scorpions etc.. look abit small bore.
