I need a new hood for my '88 320 Cabrio but currently live in Italy where there are not many cabrio's around and the hoods are only from BMW dealers.

Does anyone know what the companies on E-Bay are like, for example EUROTOP GmbH, in Germany?

Is the quality good?

Is it possible to fit a new hood or best just to pay a bit extra for a company to do it?

The other option is for me to drive to Switzerland or Germany from Turin and get one there.

Thanks for the help,

Neil

I've bought a hood from Eurotop - the quality looks excellent, but I haven't fitted it yet.

Fitting looks interesting; if you can find someone to do it for you, I'd pay the 100+ GBP that seems the norm.

How cheap is it in Switzerland? - you could go via St Bernard and treat yourself to some of the best scenery on the planet....

Price wise in Switzerland or Germany they charge the same via E-bay but there are lots of garages that can do the supply and fitting all in one in those countries unlike where I am in Turin in Italy.

And like you said, it's not a bad drive up to Switzerland!!!

Cheers for the info and let me know how the fitting goes and if you do it yourself or pay.

Have you managed to get your new hood fitted yet?
