Right I have a couple of holes which I think is a common E30 problem.
Cleaning under the bonnet I decided to remove some blistering which was at the top of the water channel of the wing, at the back of the wing, where the wing mounts and at the end of the water channel under the screen on both sides, on the drivers side the hole is also next to the scuttle vent.
Will these holes let water into the car, or is it just the void which houses the wiper mechanics?

You should get it sorted out though, unless the rest of the car is like that.
Unusual place never heard of them going there before.
