Well, I hope it's all worth it!

Just spent over Ԛ£600 on control arms (the Ԛ£40 gsf ones) brakes hoses, a pair of 6mm wheel spacers and a Wilwood 4pot big brake kit :)

I like big brakes

Hi Ben,

I ordered the brake kit from www.rallydesign.co.uk.

It's only a 280mm disc with the 4-pot calipers which only just fits in my 15" MSW wheels according to the dims they supplied me with (I'll post them up if anyone's interested)

However, I've got a set of 310mm discs for the GT6 which has got 17" image wheels much like yours and to be honest, they don't really fill the wheel :(

Sure they'll be up to the task though :)

I dont really need to change my brakes as the Zimmerman's do a perfectly good enough job. It's just that with 18x12 & 18x9 wheels they look tiny and it's actually qyuiet embarrassing at shows that why i want to change them

Thanks for the link

Did you get the mounts for the calipers with the kit?
When I looked at the Wilwood kit from Rally Design back in 2003/2004 they said you needed to make custom brackets yourself. That was the 280mm kit with the fully dust sealed Midilite calpiers.

Must admit I just hope i do get the mounts.

The last kit i got from them was a standard kit for the 13" GT6 and that came with discs, calipers, fixings and machined billet mounts for the calipers so I'm expecting the E30 kit to have the same.

Will let you know as soon as they turn up :)

Woo!

Bonus, they called to say they've run out of plain discs so they're doing me a set of drilled ones instead :)

Which wheels are you using ?

Did you go for the 280mm discs or the bigger ones ?

If i can scrape enough money together i'd like to get some big brakes.

I've got a set of cross-spoke MSW wheels which are 15". I went for the 280mm kit (didn't know they did a bigger one  )

Think for less than Ԛ£500 they're bloody good value!

Do have to buy the pads seperately though.

Do you have to use the Wilwood pads or can any aftermarket pad be used?

Got any pics yet??
