Walking from st albans train station i just saw what looked like a pre facelift red 4 door e30.
Had to look twice and a third time as it has square lights!
Is this a foreign spec or something cus it looked like a merc.

I used to live in St Albans and regularly saw the car you're on about. YES, you did see correctly.Sparkysparks wrote:Walking from st albans train station i just saw what looked like a pre facelift red 4 door e30.

Zenders they are. I walked past the car one day and had a damn good look. I almost left a note on his screen asking if he wanted to sell his headlights (just to have something a bit different) but they wouldnt have looked right on my car.
kamei rings a bell

The car was a bit of a heap tbh, not worthy of aftermarket goodies, It looked like it would have been a model before the tech 1's.
It works untill you get to the edges with the round grille.
Deffinately different.
Is there any cars on the zone with these cus i never knew they existed.

this was quite a common conversion back in South Africa, as well as on Golf MK1 and Ford Cortina's Capri's etc..with similar set-up and was even available on E28! The build quality was crap and the cars usually had other junk on them as well, like rear window lourves and those pathetic solid rear light bars. Looked like it was made from reconstituted puke.
