outside temp sensor

My computer has started to tell me its 5f or 12 f and sounding its gong......... any clues.. maybe it doesn't like me having the top down

That's the symptom of the temerature sensor being disconnected or having bad contact. Could be a bad sensor (unlikely), dirt in the plug or just a chafed wire.
Big resistance = low temperature.
Theres a 2 wire plug behind the glovebox which connects to 2 wires which run through the bulkhead, along the inside left wing and down to the sensor in the brake ducts. Check all of this.
Shorting the 2 wires together should register as +70deg celsius. Useful for testing the OBC and its connections.

Probably the temp sensor has gone a bit mental.
It sits in the passenger side brake duct in case you didn't know..
