hey guys.
just wondering if anyone else has attempted this conversion apart from ian..
im in the middle of my m50 conversion....
I broke an e32 not so long ago, and just trial fitted the servo and master, but it couldn't be more in the way of the throttle body

is there anything else i can do? apart from fit a normal servo or fit an m3 lump :-p

cheers
chris

There's a massive thread called 'M50 developments' in the engine swaps forum I would have thought that this will have all the answers.
If I can't fix it I'll f**k it up so bad nobody can!!

I'd personally dump the idea. Ian did it back before many of the other heroes started looking at smaller servo's. His is very neat and very effective but I'm sure he'll agree.. It's a pain in the tits; what with all of the custom pipes and so on.

I just fitted a golf MK2 servo and an Audi master cylinder for my S50 conversion, whereby I moved the servo across also. LOADS of clearance. I think with an M52 swap you get away with even having to move it over. Easy. Buy cheap parts: Bolt in.

Either way: Good luck dude.

It is more work to install, but works very well, and avoids the need to modify the shell in any way.
