325i conversion

may have my hands on a 325i touring auto to use as a donor for my 318i touring manual. question is i dont want the auto box, want to stick to the manual box i already have will my gear box be ok with the 325 or would i have to change it ? any help ??

Hi mate, just done this conversion, you need a 325i box and prop as well.

its basically a straight foward conversion, but a lot of fiddly bits to do, you will find lots of bits that don't quite fit, like the airbox mounting, radiator mountings, oil cooler mounts etc...

But its well worth it, mine still has the 318i diff, took it out last night in the wet and it was wheelspinning in 3rd, without provoking it

Wonder how long the diff will last?

I have a new set of afm/expansion bottle/relay box brackets if you want them.

you were down by mine other week when you went to genies couldve popped round lol hopefully my donor will have be a full car just workin on it at the moment
