i am running with Leda coilovers . never done any set up on them - just took them as they came on the car when i got it. I seem to wear the outside edge of the fronts - especially the nearside, however this is taking a lot more load on the mostly clockwise UK set ups. does the fact that i am wearing outside edge mean i have the wrong camber settings or is it just the fact that i am putting lots of cornering forces on the car and thats what happens. they look to have neg camber (ie tops lean inwards - is this right ??). i probably shoudl rotate more but just wondered what you thought. is it easy to adjust or do i need special kit ?? thanks. jonathan

might be worthwile having a full set up done. get a base set up then you could adjust at will to suit the track. also get the car corner weighted. demon tweeks are good for set up kit, can be a bit pricey but a worht while investment if it saves tyres in the long run.

Really you need to use a pyrometer on the tyres after each session and see how the car is using them.

Chances are you need more -ve camber so the car settles onto the tread rather than the outside shoulder as it takes up it's cornerinng attitude. It's all about balance though as you'll lose braking stability etc with too much -ve camber.

This is where testing and logging temps taken across the tyre comes in.

Bear in mind the car may actually be spot on and it could be your driving style that's scrubbing your shoulders. You may need to turn in at a slower speed. I have no idea of your level of ability but most people start off by entering corners too quickly and scrubbing off speed with the steering (and wearing the outside of the front tyre). You'll get a quicker and tidier lap from entering the corner slower, turning the car in and getting on the power earlier. You'll then carry that extra speed all the way down the next straight.
