I have a pair of Alpine Type S's that are 16cm or 6 n 1/2 inch will these fit in the front? The seem abit big when I offered them up so do I need smaller speakers? Gonna be gutted as quite like these ones!

Not in the standard holes - you'll need some kind of spacers / builds etc. Factory fit is 5 1/4"
E30 in need of wiring loom smoke since April '11...

Do not despair mate!!!!! try spacer rings, you can get em off e-bay for under 20 quids. Or DIY them like i have, 18mm MDF ring mounted over the original hole to fit your speakers, makes a good difference in sound too :D

Luckily I kept the box they came in! Always wondered what the plastic rings were haha! :o: Fitted in 5 mins tip top cheers lads
