Hi Guys,

A friend advised me to come to you guys as your bloody helpful!!

Recently got a E34 520i, but have a problem with the central locking and electric windows. They only work 105 of the time and I have to leave the car unlocked in my garage at the mo, as I can;t trust that it will open. Doesn't have a fancy alarm, just uses the key for the central locking.

I reckon they must bith be connected and probably is down to a bad earth, anybody got any pointers???

Thanks
JC

The central locking and windows run through one big plug by the door hinges, check it's not loose or corroded.

I would say loose connection somewhere, I'd check plug as Greeny says, does it work from passenger side front door?

Check the fusable link in the battery cable by the battery for signs of cracking it only costs £0.50.
