Afternoon all,

My 318is will be needing new discs all round soon, and I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations as to good options?
  • OEM
  • Whatever Eurocarparts are offering
  • Something else aftermarket
Not for track use, and I'm possibly the slowest driver in the world, so I don't need stratospheric levels of performance. Just something that stops me when I press the middle pedal will do me fine really - wet weather performance is also quite important to me, as I plan on using the car throughout the summer.

Thanks,

I've always used Jurid (O.E.M.) pads and discs on my E30 and E36 and they've been excellent for normal driving. Try giving Motormec a call on 01502 500590 as they're quite a bit cheaper than BMW (iirc I paid about £80 for discs, pads and sensor).

I can recommend Brembos, it's pretty much the best name when it comes to brakes. They have very good quality disks. Their OEM spec disks are pretty much the same price as whatever Eurocarparts are selling. So perhaps that's a good option.

ATE Power Discs. Does the job, not too expensive, straight sway, available from Eurocarparts. Job done.

GSF in Lincoln stock Brembo.Would recommend you give the a ring before wading in from the fens, though.I am using Greenstuff pads from them as well, they were a bit more than Pagid, but they do seem to generate less dust, and what is spread on the rims washes off easily.
