MTEC Kit on 1985 (Chrome bumper) E30 Coupe? ADVICE NEEDED !!

I've got a 1985 E30 323 Coupe but hate the chrome window surrounds and bumpers. However, as its the 323 Coupe sport, its already got the bodykit which fits around the chrome bumpers and I actually quite like the side skirts.

So i have a dilemma, I want to get rid of the chrome and fit an MTEC kit, so I have a number of options.

- Rip everthing off and buy an MTEC kit from a broken E30. But will a post facelift - ie plastic bumper, kit fit a prefacelift E30? What about a saloon kit, will this fit the 2 door?

- Just leave the side skirts and try and find a front and rear MTEC bumpers - are there any differences between E30 pre and post facelift bumpers (fitting wise), and are the saloon/coupe bumpers the same size (fitting wise).

- Also is there any way to easily get rid of the chrome round the windows? Can it easily be painted with special paint? Or does it need to be ripped off and black surround fitted?

I've only just got the car and know absolutely nothing about modding it, some guidance from people "in the know" is much needed, and would be much appreciated.
