I know you're not suppose to drive with the front fogs on unless the conditions are bad but I find that my 320 just looks so good with them on!

Now I've started looking out for it I've noticed that loads of other cars drive with their front fog lights on for that rally-esque feel.

So, do you drive with yours on or off?

OFF, unless it's foggy, or a deserted B-road like Will said.

Yes, loads of people drive with them on the whole time, & they are *all*, without exception, :cens:s!

Ahem.

I can kinda see the logic behind you friends remark. :D

PS I don't,uses more battery power, which in turn, makes the altenator work more, which in turn reduces fuel economy!

Using foglights in town is for tw*ts in Saxos!

I always have them on on the country roads near my house though - saved a coupla rabbits in the past :)

Generally got full beam on at the same time, it'd be good to be able to wire them up so fogs go on with full beam...

No, no and no.

Fog Lights on as Bootyman will tell you from a recent experience is a guarentee for a tug from the boys in blue.
Keep them off unless foggy to avoid a run in with law for me.

Turn 'em OFF

It boils my blood when all the pr!cks drive around with them on. Especially when it's raining. The glare is awfull for oncoming traffic.

If someone comes towards me with their fogs on, i just turn my full beam on... I know it's not big or clever, but if they want to try & blind me, then i'll do the same back to them.

i always drive with all my lights on in the day as well my excuse is i drive quickly and if im booting it down a road and someone wants to pull out then there is more chance that they will see me. so i see it as a safety aspect as well as making the car look good! when police pull me over which has only been twice in nine years of driving bmws i also tell them that they are not fog lights but driving lights they still have a moan and tell me i should not drive with my lights on during the day with which i replied so why are your lights on in your volvo?! as im sure your aware all swedish cars have their lights on when you turn the ignition on for safety reasons. as for people who decide to flash and moan get a grip and concentrate on what your doing rather than worry about someone who has their lights on.

As above - only use them in fog / very heavy rain/spray or on dark country lanes...

No point in aggravating the feds either is there...

Only use them on unlit B road at night.

If someone is behind me with them on, I tend to warn them with my rear fogs flashing.....if they dont understand I ease of and wait for them to pass and then all 6 lights are in their mirrors......If I come to a set of light when they are behind, ususally about 1" from the bumper, I dont move when the lights go green and put my hazards on......that really pisses them off.

I don't have any fronts myself. When I see others with the fronts on only I don't really mind expect for the fact I also know that the rears are also on, that REALLY pisses me off. becuse you can't see the brakes lights properly and it's blinding to sit behind. wankers.

whilst we're on about it, mostly in newer cars with brighter lights. the people who sit in traffic in the evening or night time with their foot on the brake really get on my tits too. I'm no perfect by the book driver but ffs don't sit there blinding me with your fucking 4x4 brake light right in my face. USE THE HANDBRAKE!

OFF OFF OFF unless it's is foggy. I agree they do look good and they give a meaner stance but it is chavvy and the rude boys in their novas and corsas who tear around with them on think they look "the biz"

I got caught by Mr Plod once when I was driving my friends dirty saxo vtr. he had left them on and I didnt realise. Then the policeman had a right go at me saying that I wasnt big or clever and if I thought I was funny by having them on then he would give me three points on my licence! So i have been very careful after that!

I drive with them on, all round town and i have green tinted side lights as well (never have my main beams on, only side lights) Think it looks really cool with my flashing blue windcreen washer nozzles.........NOT!..... :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x anybody caught with them should be banned right away.:ban: :ban: :ban: :ban: :ban: :ban: then :shoot2: :shoot2: :shoot2: :shoot1: :shoot1: :shoot1: :shoot1: :chainsaw: :chainsaw: :chainsaw: :chainsaw: :chainsaw: ......

It really annoys me.

There is also a technical reason why it is bad... Fog lights really mess up the sharp cutoffs that elliposoid lights have, they actaully make your visibility worse. You may be abl to see more at the sides, but you can't see so far down the road, which is more important.

I drive with my dipped beam, full beam, fogs- front AND back, reverse lights, hazard lights, brake lights on all the time, day or night no matter what the weather.

:)

I don't use fogs except on back roads when there are no other cars about. Fogs don't really blind me personally, they aren't much brighter than dipped beam, but you aren't supposed to use them unless visibility is below 328ft . In the wet it is annoying because it dazzles you a bit.

Maybe so. I heard that autos will self balance on an incline anyway. never tested so don't know though.

edit: I've mis-understood. Sorry.

It's just in heavy traffic when it's stop, start and people's lights brake lights are blinding you after a long day work. You don't need that shit and if it's ever happened to you then you'll start making the effort not to do it to other.
