lots of options with the only limiting factor being how much cash you want to spend.my non bmw engine conversion has relieved me off over £7000+ so far.

As fuzzy says theres so many options its a 'how long is a piece of string' type thing, do you want it naturally aspirated or forced induction? (turbo/supercharger), both are possible from bmw's own products.

Or you could buy a proper engine like an S14 and spend loads of money for the desired HP
E46 M3 engine is also a possibility!

Thanks guys idealy i want naturally aspirated bmw power and non stressed meaning it puts out this power as standard i just believe this would be economical than trying to build a 2.7 or 2.8 ect

its cheaper/easier to build a 2.7/2.8 than alot of the engine conversions esp s50 imo.. the s50's are hardly none stressed either, @nearly 100bhp per litre
