just got the coolant and oil left to do on the mechanical side of sorting the touring..

so my mind has turned to the cosmetics!

the front wings are a touch skanky (rotten at the bottom)

just wondering if you could tell me if its a difficult job?!

also how do the sill covers come off?

where can i get a rubber grommet to fill the space left by the rear wiper being removed?!

thanks

its really easy to change wings, just remove the bumper,as theres a bolt behind it and theres also a bolt under the headlamp, then take the plastic arch shield off the inside of the arch then look at your new wing and you'll see where all the holes are, just make sure when you fit the new one on your careful not to scratch it and get all of your bolts in loosely then put it in position and tighten it,you may have to loosen them a couple of times to get it spot on,check the gap between the wing and bonnet as you normally ahve to push it in a little whilst you tighten it. cover the inside of the arch with underseal to help stop corrosion (you dont wanna be changing it often!). i advise you to et a bmw wing rather than an imitation, even if its a secondhand one,if your lucky like me you may get one the same colour,so in an hour, your car could be looking sweet again!! just do it!!! (some people practice at a scrappy first!!!)
