Hi Everyone

I was introduced to BM's by way of an E36 316 Company car which I subsequently purchased for myself on (early ) retirement -cost me Ԛ£3000 and sold it 5 years later for Ԛ£2500-cheap motoring. To keep busy and help the pension I took a 3 day a week job 25 miles away and looked for a daily driver.Found an E30 E-reg 316 with 45000 and every bit of paper it ever had-the true little old ladies car-never even had a radio fitted.

What an amazing little car.I have now done 15000 miles with no problem.I am impressed with the responses of the car and if truth be told it is a much better drive than the E36.

Now firmly ensconced in the male menopause zone I have been looking around for a Baur. This is by choice as I dont think i am up for the full wind in hair experience any more.

Anyhow I picked one up on Saturday- a South African factory built 325i-not a Baur but the same thing really.

In goodish Cond 2 I think .Seems mechanically sound and a little TLC will see it right I hope.

Drove it 200 miles home to Bounemouth without missing a beat-this is s pretty fast motor car-no wonder the younger guys pay loads for insurance.

I am enjoying the board so far - will post updates on progress

Congrats on the new car and welcome to the Zone :thumb:

It's a good thing you liked the E30 more than the E36 - a decent amount of E36-bashing goes on here! :D
