ok as the thred says how do you remove this cant see anything in the haynes book of lies so help guys please ????

Have you removed the plastic caps/coverings at the rear of the headlining. Should reveal the hinge bolts.

Struts off, two bolts under each hinge cover.

Talking of Touring tailgate, can you fit a third brake light up there, inside between the hinges?

BMW sell one...

Forgot the wiring loom and washer pipe!
There's no single plug for the loom, so you have to remove the trim from inside the tailgate unplug the wires etc from whatever they connect to.
Third brakelight could be fitted if you can find something suitable. BMW have fitted high level brakelighs to E30s, but I don't know if the touring was ever included. Never seen or heard of one.
BMW use a seperate lamp failure module to connect the third brakelight for the 'check' system. Would have to be connected into the brake light circuit before the existing lamp failure module on the LH inner rear wing.
