I will hopefuly be looking for a 325 soon and was wondering if anyone can advise on how I make sure the engine is going to be as good as a 325 can get, fuel efficiency wise. I know some people on here are lucky to get 250, and some regularly get 340, so Im sure there's more to it than having a heavy/light right foot.
Thanks

Thanks

I'd be interested in this one - i only get 21mpg at the moment - 230miles from a full tank = not good! Having said that, someone else has just posted on here who got 31mpg from a 325, so i guess mine is running pretty crap at the moment.

there's loads of things i can think of which are basic, to see whether the engine is healthy or just need a service.
air filter clean?
good plugs?
fuel filter?
HT leads and all that are ok?
decent oil?
no noisey tappets / smoking
Can't think of anything else now!
dirty injectors/ Bosch specialist check the injection system over
No blowing from inlet and exhaust manifolds
HTH
