8) Hello, I introduce myself as 'UBERMEISTER'
A Biker and a 1991 BMW E30 318i owner.

I have just bought a second hand Genuine M-Technik 2 Rear Spoiler.
All the nuts and studs are there !

2 problems....

1. I need the Left and right plastic side brackets.(mine are broken)
2. I could do with a drilling template before I start any drilling.

This could all be solved with just another new fitting kit. The template, instructions , brackets etc etc are all in there. Anyone sell them ??

Any directions / help will be appreciated, oh yes ! 8O

The black plastic side brackets should still be available from BMW, part no 51 71 2 239 839 and back in 2004 where £1.64 + VAT. Does your boot have no spoiler at the mo?? the holes are the same :D

There is no spoiler on my boot...so no holes !!!

If that is the price of the brackets then that is great, if available still ?

I still need a template or a fitting kit with a template in ??

Do BMW sell the fitting kit ?

Anyone else, I would like to fit the spoiler this weekend if possible !

Cheers.

if you can find another boot with a spoiler from e.g a friend or look at a scrappy you can measure precisely where the holes go. its time consuming but it works

There is another way of getting the holes acurate and I hope this comes across correctly.

Get strips of cardboard, one for each lug or bolt fixing. Use a paper punch and make a single hole in the middle of each.

Now put a single centred strip of board on the bolt and secure it with masking tape on the top and bottom.

Once all these are done, use masking tape and put a few strips on the boot lid to avoid any scratching.

Now place the boot spoiler on the boot lid, position it 100% straight. Now detatch the previously masked board and secure it to the boot lid, now masking the board to the boot lid.

Once all are done and correct use a centre punch and mark each hole.

Now drill them, remove the masking tape from the lid. Treat the holes with red oxide or rust deterant.

And fit the spoiler, and tighten up the bolts...

Good Luck!!!
Regards

Clyde
