gearbox oil

tomorrow (today really ) i am replacing my gearbox oil on my sport and did a search for gearbox oil and read a few post mentioning ATF fluid works well, gets rid of the notchy 1st 2nd in morning (not that i have)

but is it recommended in a sport manual box? i got hold of some dextron II fluid (ATF?), is it good to use?.

any views on this?

for my LSD i am just gonna grab 2 litres from the dealer in a coke bottle hehe ..

Yeah ATF is fine, might leak more but its very good!

leak? from?

i did (well my uncle did hehe) notice today a leak from the output shaft seal a leak , replaced it with a new one, if i use ATF will it leak from there? will it leak like a woman on a period? haha no offence to any woman on here...

if you have leaks, with AFT is will leak more, mines pisses the stuff out but its only like .25l per 6k miles so i dont really care. Its so much better than normal oil i would still use it if it were to leak even more!

mmmh i think i will have a go at the ATF fluid, just hope i dont run about on an empty box.
