Finally got the chance to get some pic's up of my new turd

325i touring
manual :D no auto wrongness
aircon! which works

milege is "around" 220,000 from what i can work out from the history. Clocks read 182,000 lol

It used to have sports black leathers in it 2 but they have gone in the midst of time.............

i want to get a LSD for it too at some point

I've serviced the engine back up to life, belts, coolant, thermostat, tappets, rocker gasket, spray bar, rotor, sparks etc

Runs very nicely now and pulls very well for 2.5, especially 200k plus one!
It's still on the original head too, old style 6 sided head bolts on it

i've lowered it a touch from stock also :D

it's on 45mm spec inverted bilsteins with H&R cupkit saloon springs!
It handles sweet if u ask me aswell, even though the springs are not proper!

Here are a few from our last ring trip too

Image

C2 2.7 on track

Some tagging of a bridge, the ring goes over the top of this. Yours trulys work :D

And very pissed tagging the track too hence the mistake!

How many intact exhaust studs does it have? Looks nice with the alpinas and council spec drop.

C2.27 I never even noticed that at the time - much like my chrome turbs tag... lol

um it has 4 snapped exhaust studs :o: but it's not blowing with it's new bmw gaskets! how i don't know

Ah condition! it's by no means mint or excellent. Sills, rear arches, scuttle are all 100% very good car. Both front jacking points have been welded and not a bad job either as it's not coming back! Front wings are both shot and full of filler and rusty at the bottom and really let the car down. I'm hoping to sort the wings out sometime soon. To be fair it's very good for a 200k E30 and i've seen alot worse with alot less milege

I'm getting M-tech kit thoughts and want to make it like my old sport as it was the same colour with the same wheels and leathers. I never wanted to sell that car but i had to to buy the alpina, but it's not worth it as i should put the money into the alpina

fuzzy not all tourings had slippers! it did come in a good spec though all electrics,OBC, sports leathers,15 bbs

Tourings are great because all 325's had 3.91 diffs(like the sports) in them so they are real get up and go in all the gears. Shite economy and high rpms on the m-way but who cares!

4 and it's not blowing? Impressive, I've been stressing out about sorting two snapped studs, one out one to go - but my drills are all blunt now... :(

If you can source a tech 2 kit fairly cheaply then go for it - they look great with it. Probably too late to ask Santa for it though?

tech 2 with pina front spoiler? kit is for good money but i'd just need a front bumper spoiler, but i don't need the spoiler as i have an alpina one spare............

but whats the point it's an old smoker to go to work in and hoon the arse out of it round the ring now and then

I don't know i'm getting tight and too logical in my mind these days

Great thread until the scrot comes out in the author and he shows us his graffiti work. Fuckwits carrying paint cans should be chemically castrated. I just dont understand the need for this carry on. I hope someone catches you at it and sprays you ! I got a young guy at it here and sprayed his face yellow  . Funny how his parents never came back to complain.

if u ever drive round the nurburgring u will see that most of the track has been sprayed up by thousands of people. I'm not saying it's right and i've never done it anywhere else but u can't please everyone.

Our forum is known now to everyone who drives under the bridge and can gain publicity from it! lighten up mate

The headlights are proper smoked ones no DIY bodging here! with xenon headlamps from an audi TT :D

my service parts?

Cambelt+tensioner+spring - BMW only!
waterpump - BMW or GSF depends what car it is for me to where i'd get this!
dizzy, rotor - BMW or GSF both are very good imo
airfilter - BMW about £8
spark plugs - NGK's from GSF for a chrombumper 325i, will run mega smooth BPR6ES is the part no.
hot/cold temp sensors- BMW only
thermostat - again like the water pump but GSF ones work fine for me
alternator/PAS renew these while your there

Tappets adjusted, new rocker gasket and spraybar - bmw, cheap enough around £12 all in. by changing the water pump u have to renew the coolant which is a good thing!

It's a good days work mincing around but with an Oil change and filter thrown in your engine should be running how it was designed too! it will cost around £250 in parts but it's worth it imo. MPG,acceleration, emissions should all improve and u know on the next service it's just an oil change!

Thats what i have done on the last 2 £300 325's i've bought it's cheaper in the long run, i know u thing whats the point but all that should insure it's a good engine for u for the next 30,000 miles or so and all u need to do is oil and airfilters and sparkplugs

I've got a tatty load cover if it's any use till you get a decent one. It's come a bit unstuck as they often do at the boot end and slightly chipped on the ends at the seat end. It works OK, but needs a good clean and the 'pins' at the boot end have been replaced with 6mm studding. In grey.
