Cheers

Change the wheels is first I think, general tidy up and touch up any spots of dreaded tin worm. Then who knows.... :D

Hmm I'll decide on the wheels when I get it home, just not that keen on dark coloured wheels.

nice baur, i would keep the wheels, they suit the car. But that interior needs some work, get rid of all that stuff stuck on the dash and that leather is defiantly not standard looks like an after market special.

Definately not standard? was begining to think that, thats a pity. thought it was some rare interior :)

Wheels are growing on me thats for sure.

What seats should it have?

the seats look right just the colour is wrong, if you look at the carpet, its a dark, blue/purple colour. The original leather would be very close to that colour. Sorry i dont have a picture of a car with the blue interior, maybe someone else will come up wiith a pic.
Its not a total train smash, if you like the colour of the seats keep them like that, if not you can always re-dye them. :)

Yeah I'll wait to see if I like it, thing is the car is meant to be blue, looks silver to me in the photos, so I reckon some nasty digital camera at its work -I'll see :)

Nice to see Another Baur on the zone.

Id say keep the wheels, imho they look quite nice on the car.

Interior, I'm not so sure on, but hey if you like it that's all that matters. :D

Well what a disaster !" :-x :-x :-x :-x :-x :-x :-x :-x

Went to pick the car up yesterday (Saturday), had a look round and it seemed ok apart rom being a little rustier than expected, took it up the motorway and temp guage started rising to the red, had to keep the heaters on full blast to keep it cool. Had to drive form Bristol to Scotland to get the boat to NI, thought well I've bought it now I'll drive it up. Stopped at a petrol station and filled up with petrol, petrol poured all over the forecourt! tank is obviosuly rotten.

Rang the guy and told him I;m bringing it back - lucky I had his address, drove to his door and got the money back.

It has cost me £350, between flights and a hotel room last night as there wasn't more flights till this morning.

Not happy, stay away from this car!

Good lord that is horrific, losing £350 is really harsh, but I would have felt even more sorry for you if you had to drive that thing around.

Which after seeing it, it is most definately not!

Does have the dogleg gearbox which was a tad confusing with 1st being where 2nd should be and reverse where first should be.

He has the cheek to call me a timewaster!!!!

No mention of petrol leaking or it overheating.

I see he has also added

"The car has recently developed a knock when cold. this disappears when hot. Oil pressure is good. Sounds like bottom end."
