got round to re fitting electric windows this afternoon.

as always, not without its problems

getting power to fuse 28 ( so that windows work when doors open)

cant get any power to fuse 17 ( to eventualy to go to blue relay )

so .... bridged k5 relay at terminals 30 and 87.... got power.

changed relay for a spare ... dead again.

anything else to try??

cheers for any help.

There is a black/green wire to the starter motor that works the two unloader relays, K5 and K7.
If K5 doesn't work, then neither should K7 (heater fan and mirrors).
If K7 works and K5 doesn't, then the internal wiring of the fusebox has been got at.

ha ha, dont worry dan. :D

it seems there are more diffrences in the older engine loom.

bear with me on this one ( again !! )

This is the diagram from the 1989 loom, which is what you are talking abaout Brian.

below is what I actualy have.. looking at pin 15 the c101 connector on the car engine loom is empty.

any suggestions what will work best here ?

That's essentially the same thing. If it's wired as the second diagram it should work.
Turn the ignition on, earth the black/yellow wire and see if the relays pull in then.
DON'T work the starter while the black/yellow is earthed!
