Hi, basically my alarm remote is playing up and ive worked out its down to the switch being worn.

My question is, can i just replace the switch?

If so, can anyone point me in the direction of a replacement (looked on Maplin's website, couldnt see anything similar) Also, is there a danger of damaging the other components on the board with heat from soldering?

www.farnellinone.co.uk , order code 372-7531 looks very similar. It's a DTSM-32S-B, and it's 6mm x 3.5mm x 5mm high.
21p each in packs of 5 in my well out of date paper catalogue.
Won't do any harm soldering the board if you've any soldering experience and use a 15W iron.

Cheers, are things like this a standard size in respect to the distance between the pins?

Shouldn't be difficult to make up a Ԛ£20+ order. They sell a vast range of stuff.
