TAILGATE LOCK

my tourer seams to be an odd ball

as when i open my car with the central locking . then open the boot , i then close the boot . i cant open it agian .
i have to lock and then unlock the car to open the boot again.

any idea!

take the backing gtrim cover off ( as if changing the bulbs) and look under the sill. You'll see the back of the lock mechanism, and a rod that leads to the solenoid. You need to loosen the (I think 8mm nuts) and pull the solenoid to the left of the car. Tighten and then try again. this usually works with funky locks.
