This summer I had shed out some money on a fully adjustable coil over kit for my Cab. When it was fitted the guy at the garage did advise me to keep them clean as they tend to corrode and pitt. Therefore you would not be able to adjust the ride height.

As we all know the dreaded winter is round the corner, is there any sort of protection i could apply to the suspension to prevent any corrosion??

One other thing that I was thinking was to make some sort of covers out of material (vinyl)???

Any one of you guys know a way around this or is there something out there to prevent the worse??

Cheers

I would put some grease on them or oil.

If you donԚ´t plan on adjusting over the winter, just tape over the threads with
duct tape, I canԚ´t see anything wrong with that
With great challenges comes great engineering.

if you do tape them up, i'd grease them under the tape as it will hold the water in there otherwise.

are they not plated at all?

hiya mate, having had lots of experience with bikes off road i'd tell you that the neoprene covers are purely a looky looky thing that stop your forks getting chipped by stones, they tend to hold water and grit that gets in them so don't put them on. the best thing to do which will be totally effective is to smear them in grease and just re-coat them every 3-4 months that'll keep them perfect and to look at you won't be able to tell they're covered either. cheers

Cheers guy for all your input.

I normally clean and grease the adjusters every 3 months. Duck taping them is a good idea, but i also found this:

Click on the Coilover covers tab on the left:

http://www.styledynamix.co.uk/

But they dnt do any for the rears for the e30?????
