Got a Touring with those little plastic (SE?) side-skirts, how do I get them off? And refit them?
Got a bit of rust I need to treat! :( .

Thanks

There's a phillips screw on the underside of the short section at the front, plus a plastic 'pop' fastener. This section then slides forwards & off.

Once the short section is off, gently undo the row of pop fasteners along the top of the long section. You can then pull the skirt away at the top edge and 'rotate' downwards, to enable you to get the bottom clips off intact. I find it's the best way, in any case.

Is it actually possible to remove those block-shaped lower clamps so that they can be re-used?! When I removed my sideskirts, I ended up butchering every single one. If you get a good look at them, they're ridiculously intricate (considering all they do is hold on trim!) and are designed in such a way that removal will destroy them. Either that or I'm a complete goon...

Note: when you re-install the skirts, you may want to run a strip of trim tape along the top to reduce the amount of crud that will inevitably end up collecting inside the trim. I couldn't believe how much muck had accumulated in mine!

Yep - by doing what I tried to describe above. Moving the skirt away/down/under the sill.
