I know I don't pick my E30 up until saturday but I am already losing sleep wondering about all bits and pieces I can do to her.
The most outrageous mod i am going to make is sticking a set of alpina reps on her (waiting for wheel debate to kick off)
Then I intend to paint the rear number plate surround bodycolour and then whack an mtec steering wheel on it and illuminated gearnob and all the other usual refinements most of the zone members are looking at.
My main question is this: My mates X5 as like most new BMW's has a feature whereby when you put the car in reverse the mirrors automatically switch to a reversing angle so you can see how close you are to putting a hole in your alloys the size of Dartmouth. Is it possible to fit this to the E30 mirrors bearing in mind mine are/will be electric? If so how much work will be involved and roughly how much spondollies?
If not, would it be possible to fit the new 3/5 series mirrors (that also fold in) to the E30 and how much work would be involved to make the baseplates fit the car?
