Hello people
I've done a search, found everything else mpg, power, weight etc but no 0-60 times.
What is the time quoted for a 320i do to 60 in?
I know it won't be quick, but I'm curious, picking mine up soon and I would like to find out.
Thanks

I want to do the SELOC championship with it, needs to remain a 320i! But a 2.5 lump would be the way forward.!

You can only have 2.0 or 1.8 in SELOC. (Milltek now)

320iS maybe 8.0 seconds.
320 is more like 11 seconds.

on my judgement, my 320i ragtop does 0-60 in 9.4-9.8secs, from judgement of driving loads of other cars around this time and faster...
maybe low 9seconds on a good day.....in the dry, with prevailing wind, downhill, on 99ron fuel, car full of helium balloons, and a very skinny driver

It's an '85, only thing different from a norm 320i is the LSD which is illegal to run in PBMW Champ anyway.
total bmw mag recon the 318 IS does 0-60 in 9.1 but i reckon its quicker tbh. reckon the 320 is a bit quicker than 10 aswel. Performance figures are always slower than reality for some reason.

if a 318is does it in 9.1 and i can beat a 318is in a drag then cant be that far off in stock form. i do have a manual with 4.4 diff and 14inch wheels plus other mods tho. oh and im a gun behind the wheel hehehe

i'd say the Saab 900 Turbo & 320 data had been swapped there, a 900 turbo 8v would kill a 320 in every area.
The 8V saab feels like it gives a bigger shove in the guts than the T16 did

I wish I knew what 26mpg feels like
saab 900 turbos ain't that quick unles they are the high pressure ones. The low pressure ones only have 150bhp and they weigh the same as a block of flats. I like em tho. Id have one if i had to have a saab.

amen-lucky if my shed breaks the 20 second barrier, but it does have about 1/2 tonne of shit in the boot at all timesJon_Bmw wrote:I think the chances of any 320 nowadays doing a 60 sprint in 8 seconds is highly unlikely!

looking at those figures again Argos, especially the 1/4 mile times makes me think the "press" cars were far from off the line norm. I really have to quesiton that 1/4 time. Be interesting to see who has the quickest 320 on 23rd Sept at the pod and how near it is to that time. Even a standard 325 would struggle to better that by much IMO

sorry mate but your 320 must be fucked. i see 280 miles to Ԛ£40, thats not bad at all, as for the 0-60 times, its gotta be below 9.5 seconds, my 320 will touch 60 in second. performance bmw are quoteing 10.2 for a 0-62 time. so i would say middle to late nines.
