I have just bought a pair of front legs off of an M-Tec car its 51mm struts.
They are complete with the inserts and springs.
Is there any way of checking their condition while off the car before I fit them. As I don't fancy having to replace parts after they're fitted.
Checking suspension while off the car???

Other than oil leaks from the damper rods, then not really, apart from obvious things.

My current suspension squeeks on the drivers side. I have been told it is the insert.
