Hey all,

I'd like to lower the front of my touring about 3/4 of an inch. The back end sits at a nice height, but I've always thought that the front looks too high. Is it possible to buy a front-only spring set, and if so, do Tourings require different front springs than all other E30s?

Thanks!

I've had the same issue with the back of my touring, it's way too low! I was told that PI spring dealers would split sets and have had this confirmed by www.needforspeed.co.uk . They're charging half price plus 10% for splitting the kit.

looking at the car theres no reason why the front ones need to be specifically for a touring its the rear thats diffrent. when considering the front springs its engine size thats the deciding factor.. the weight making a diffrence. dropping mine 40mm all round but thinking i may need to go 60mm at the front and 40 at the rear for the same reason as you

There is a difference in the arch heights front to back on e30s, hence why the kits are 60/40 to make sure the wheels fill the arches the same amount. And no the only difference on the front springs is in what engine you have, 4cyl or 6 cyl.

There was, from BMW 7 different pairs of spring for the touring, (front)depending on different specs such as M-tech suspension, A/C etc.

When I fitted the 60/40 kit on my touring the rear hardly lowered at all and the front dropped a lot.
