TWO THINGS I DID , NOT SURE WHICH ONE WAS THE CURE,
FIRST WAS THE 3 METAL ELBOWS THAT ARE PRESS FITTED INTO SIDE OF THROTTLE BODY , THEY HAD BECOME A LOOSE FIT , BIT OF SEALER ON EACH ONE AND BINGO NO MORE VAC LOSS....
SECOND WAS INSPECT THE TRACKS INSIDE THE AIR FLOW METER,
THIS I DID BY CAREFULLY PRISING OFF THE SQUARE PLASTIC COVER
ON TOP , I LIGHTY PUSHED THE NEEDLES ONTO THE TRACKS FOR
MORE CONTACT ....
I ONLY DID THE SECOND PART COS I HAD A SPARE A.F.M , YOU MAY
NOT ....SO BE GENTLE ! ! !
IF YOU DO THE SECOND PART MAKE SURE SHE RUNS OK BEFORE
GLUING THE LID BACK ON ! ! ! GOOD LUCK , JIBBERS
P.S. THANX TO SIMON AND GLENN FOR INPUT .

jibbers, on forums, writing in capitals is regarded as shouting!

just use lower case, unless forming sentances/paragraphs when a capital is required

tis, cool!you're not in trouble  :D

Jibbers - what did you use in the seal? Hymolar? Silicon Seal? Thread lock?

Want to do the same to mine - trying to track down the elusive cure for the crap idle.......

Sorry for delay , all iused was a bit of silicone , but i suppose anything would do , just make sure u wait a bit for it to go off else i reckon it could get sucked back into the throttle body .

straight 6's are famous for eratic idle so don't worry too much if its a little wonky , i put in a set of iridium plugs from denso and it's improved all round
