Apologies for bring a thick twat, but im a bit confused over TDC marks.
If i post a couple of pics up can someone with paintshop or similar mark it out for me.My lower timing belt cover looks slightly different from the one in the tech guide to replacing timing belt. Also whoever put the current belt on has made a mark on the belt with a green marker, only its nowhere near the tdc mark on the upper cog. Looks like i aint going to make Gaydon,oh well its a learning curve if nothing else. Thanks for any help.

could be wrong though

remove the lower pulley assy and the timing cover(ring of 13mm headed bolts, buried in the innards of the pulleys!)

you will see the timing mark and TDC marks clearly then.

dot to dot down the bootom, line the notch in the cam pulley with the marker in the head casting , pull the belt and tensioner, replace, tension as per How To and away you go...

Dont forget, tun the engine over clockwise by hand three times and re-check the timing and belt tension.

Dead easy, on the pulley look for the T/O mark and on the bottom cover the bracket that holds the pulse sensor has the timing mark on it. If you look at your first pic its the small raised peice of metal on the bracket that doesnt seem to do anything. (next to the rivets)
