expect near the same to be honest, can crack near 30 on a motorway run if taking it steady.
one thing with the 325 is that it is addictive to peg the tits off it, just to hear it scream.
100 miles to £20 was about all I ever managed

Mine averages about 23-24mpg in mixed driving, but not "taking it easy"...On a long motorway run I can easily get 27-28mpg
However, nailing it everywhere and 20-21mpg is what you get...

according to the obc i get 31 mpg mixed driving. My mate who is a brilliant mechanic gets 33 the point is his car is absolutely right and therefore gives best fuel consumption it is also a chrome bumper model which I think are slightly less on fuel.

yeah I gave the missus all sorts of bullshit excuses before we got the 325 that it will be OK on the juice, having been briefly running a 405td for a few months
So if i was out in the car on my own I would stick £10 in so that we weren't stopping for more gravy the next morning on the way to work.
Doing the same with the soarer now, man that thing can drink!
I told her the soarer would be about the same as the E30 on fuel
£30 = £120 miles
takes £80 to fill it if on vapours (80 ltr tank)

I was getting 22mpg from my 325i touring before it was tuned up/modded. And that was running pretty rich!!
Seems to be a bit more economical now but i'll have to try and work it out again at some point!! Can't really do it at the mo 'cos the fuel guage don't work properly and i can't just fill it up before and after a journey 'cos it leaks if i fill it!!
Oh yeah, i always drive it hard too - and that 22 was part a/b roads and part M25!!!

Used to get about 28mpg around town and about 35 on the motorway on a really long (and slow in my case) run.
Only tested it once with the turbos on and got 28mpg again which was a combination of motorway and town with some caning it thrown in for good measure AND a leaking fuel tank!

As a daily driver I'm getting about 80 miles from 20quid of optimax.
BUT, I did a long motorway journey recently and managed 360 miles from a full tank, which is pretty good imho.

How you getting that? Arent the M50's better on fuel than an M20 due to more valves?

My new 325i se Auto is in excellent shape and gets me 34 on a run, 30 mixed. It's a lazy auto though so I drive it like a grandad...
I'm pretty sure the OBC and fuel gauge had an argument some time in the 90's and are no longer talking though. Sometimes the OBC says I have a range of 100 odd miles but the fuel guage says different!

i have come to the conclusion that all e30s are quite rubbish on fuel (318i only gets about 30mpg mix) but we love em anyway
