Daily insurance to bring my new E30 home?

I've provisionally bought a bargain (read cheap ) 316i without tax or MOT...or rust ...and need to drive it home to my local MOT testing station.

I know I don't need tax/MOT for this but I do need insurance.

Does anybody know of a company that'll do insurance for the day at a reasonable cost?

This is urgent as if I don't pick it up in the next coupla days it's going to to scrapyard!

And it's far too good for that...

can you add it as an extra car on your policy for that day, or possibly the week. shouldn't cost too much extra, just check that it is in addition to your existing car and not in place of it otherwise your main one won't be insured.

In the past i've always be able to pop into my local Broker and got a days insurance for about twenty quid,been a few years since then,but you might still be able to do this.

Chris I thought about that but I was told that only the main driver would be insured on the extra car, and I'm a named driver

get a tow bar (the toe pole thing) and tow it if its not far it should be insured as third party then as its beeing towed , cheek with ur insurance comp thou but mine said this was the case.
it would need a sign and some life in the battery(for brake lights) or a trailer board
