can i run a second amp to my front speakers?
Ill explain.
My Alpine head unit only has one set of outputs which are feeding the amp and sub in the boot.
I also have an Alpine amp which id like to run my Infinity components in the front, any way i can run this second one?

Yep RCA splitters is what u need mate, Halfrauds, motorworld or maplins do them, This will allow u to run both amp's with the one output

U will need another wirinf kit though for power etc, U can piggy back the remote, Id use the splitters int he boot were the othe ramp is so u dont have to run loads of cables except for the speaker wire to the boot and the battery cable for the new amp

I never like the idea of splitters, 'cos they halve the signal power/level - but they do have their place and are needed for some systems!!
You may find that your current amp has an output so you can 'daisy chain' another amp from that, which could be a better route!!
Just thought i'd give you another option!

Also just thought....... If you do ever need to add a splitter in, it's worth putting a line driver on there to boost the signal before you split it!! Most h/u's give quite a low output and drivers are worthwhile anyway, but if you split it, your obviousely halving the output from your source unit!
You might even be lucky and find some kind of line driver with two outputs (only and idea though, never actually seen one!!)!!!

most parametric equalisers also double as line drivers. some are installable in the dash. boss audio ones go on ebay for £38, that's about the cheapest new i've seen. dedicated line drivers are usually more expensive for some reason. there are quite a few line drivers with multiple outputs for a single input - required for many-amp setups.

That's a good point placey!! Just remembered my kenwood digital eq - goes in a normal single din slot - that takes one input and put's out 3 at (supposedly) 4V!!!!!!!!!
Had that mounted in front of the ashtray (bottom of centre console) in my 320!!! Now where did i put that!!

That's the one!! (that's no mine on the bay though - no affiliation, blah blah!)
