I know that a z3 rear beam fits an e30, so does the diff?? And if so what ratios do they come in and are they LSD's???

The rear beam doesn't fit but the wishbones and diff will fit your E30 subframe. ZM's needing different drive flanges if keeping the STD E30 diff as they have larger 5 series type flanges/driveshafts.

Gives you 5 stud with an E36 offset.

Z3's come with LSD's if specced, the M's having 3.15/3.25 plate type diffs and LSD specced everything else having Torsen type (early may not have these)

I think the ratios are of use to those using E36 1:1 5th gearboxes as they are rather low ratio (3.45, 3.64, 3.15 and 3.25 depending on model I beleive)

Don't take any of the above as gospel... I'm still looking into it.

Thanks for the info, this means its no use for me as i'm looking for a higher ratio diff (4.3-4.5:1). Thanks, Martin.

I've got a spare 4.1:1 if it's any good to you?

Rear beam does fit, but there's not a lot of point unless yours is bent as they're virtually identical.

OK... I've been told the MCoupé/ZMRoadster one I had wouldn't fit by the order of 10-12mm or something (in the spacing of the bush centres). Assumed they are all the same.
