Hi!

It seems to be a bit of a grey area, but I'm looking for a site showing how LPG works... like what components are needed, how they work where they go and how they all work together, and maybe how to install them, most sites are a bit sketchy on the how and why's.

Any references would be cool. Thanks peeps.

I've converted my 325 and bought a kit from a firm called Navitron. They have an installation guide here which may answer some how and why questions:

http://www.navitron.org.uk/autogas/LPG2005.pdf

Another site, which sells DIY gas kits, with some FAQ's is

http://www.tinleytech.co.uk

Hope this helps :)

Not exactly cheap is it!

Do you find it worth while? Does it affect performance and do you save much money on fuel?

Kit mightn't be cheap (in this country), but the savings are very real.
Aim to save 40% of your fuel costs, and you won't be dissapointed.
At the moment, due to very cheap gas being available near me, and the high cost of petrol, I'm saving over 50%.
Performance loss is minimal with a venturi type kit (not really noticeable), and there should be no loss at all with the much more expensive vapour injection kit.
Venturi kit is more than adequate for an unsophisticated engine like the M20.
I wouldn't be setting off this week on a 2500 mile trip to, from and around France, with a caravan in tow, if it wasn't for LPG.
