I can find bits n pieces but i need a photo of the oil feed that most of you are using inc sizes/prices involved etc, im still learning here so excuse the ignornace but this would be a great help

Just keeping my option open in case i need to compleltey change my setup and knowing what and where before hand will save me alot of grieve..

If i cant get the right flow of oil from the setup that i have:

witch is 10mm pipeing from the oil press switch, this is then passed through a tap which is whats ginving me Flow amount and this is then connected to some good qualtity fuel hose which then feeds the turbo..again whcih has a inside bore of approx 10mm..

Not sure on wether i can get the tap to stay where i want it which could be sitting on the knuckle of closed..under pressure it might open up slightly causing to much flow so i might have to do this part again..

Hopefully i wont needs to and the setup i have is good enough but just incase and youve got the info handy

Mines a custom aeroquip setup, cost a few quid but was worth it, it's been modded twice now and still doesn't leak.

I'll go grab some pics now, gis 5 mins, Mark.

sorted, here goes...

Feed to turbo, used the fitting that the turbo came with and had it pressed into another short braided hose.

Centre join, bloody handy having this installed.

And T-piece from oil level sender.

Cheers Mark, so is that 2 braded hoses your using there? 1 from the turbo then another via a centre join to yer oil press T-piece? and thats not the usual Sender is it?

And what size hose is that..inside Dia 4mm?

Oh and cost involved would be helpfull m8

Was one hose, when modded for the first install it was split into two, then when the Holset went on it needed a new top half making from the original feed fitting. The other feed was left at Ants but I can remember if it was chopped or not.

There are some pics of the t-pieces on some old threads, some cad drawings too IIRC.

Inside dia is 4 or 5mm I think, never measured it, can't be much more tho.

Cost, well the top half 2nd time along was £30+ and all up it must have been £50/60 in materials and another £30 in labour, they have to be pressed with a special tool.

The fitter explained they're good for 500psi! But IMO braided is the only way to go in a extremely hot engine bay.

:D

Used copper brake pipe on mine running from an ali block at the oil pressure tapping. Seems to work alright, knock on wood!

pirtek do these jamz,i believe its stainles braided with teflon internal.pirtek are pricey but quality, you will have another hydraulic specialist close to you who will sort this for you.

p.s i think the bore of the fitting on fozzymonsters feed is less than 5 mm as its a douglass part-i got the same here, good flow restrictor!

for return pipe ive bought 2 meters of 0.5 inch stainles braided teflon ,super t clamps onto a td4 flange on sump and made my own fitting for holset end.

K, im looking at a fitting that will replace the orig oil sender.. is that 15mm? i can find out when i take it apart but im just throwing tings around :)

15mm if thats what it is into an oil sender..rather get an elec oil press gauge if poss..not sure what size fitting they are but from what ive seen there a PITA, then il 'T' of that lil lot into some 4mm inside Dia Braided hose..1m enough or 1.5?...nto sure what sixe the bayonet will be on that but as long as it screws into my block/fitting then its all good..the turbo end can be cut and clamped?

If i keep this setup then il go this way as its all apart again..if anyone can be a bit more specific on sizes?..be a great help
