Hi,
Anyone know why I get a horrible vibrating noise coming out of the crank breather hose?
It's usually worse when the engine is cold and ticking over but can come back at any time.
I find it annoying when sitting at traffic lights and people give the car funny looks as if to say "bag of shit"
It's an 86 325i engine btw.

Hi Brian .. no I don't think it is.
It's been going for 5 years now ... When I had the original air filter box it made this noise and I couldn't work out where it was coming from.
Now I have a tiny K&N on the end of the pipe and it still does it.
The noise comes directly from the end of the pipe.
