the 12v feed for my central locking is buggered. but when i connect it up to a wire from the positive on the battery, its works like a dream.

i now need to do it for real, so, where can i tap into a 12v constant supply from inside my car??

The black / red wire (12V permenant feed) circumnavigates the car before it gets to the C/L relay...

It runs from behind the glove-box, down the side of the passenger sill, under the rear seat, then back down the length of the drivers sill to the C/L relay. Cut the black / red wire near the glove-box and run a wire under the dash straight to the C/L relay...

Also check the condition of the multiway connector in the the A post, the black / red wire loops in & out of the door for some unknown reason... (Brianmooooooore is the man!)

i would be tempted to find out why the power to the c/l relay is fecked and try and resolve it rather than bodging it up .
its failed for a reason .maybe blown fuse, earthing on something or the wire has perished ?

deffo agree with that, am fitting a toad ai606 in a bit, will check then, just need a quick fix, as no central locking is rather annoying!
